
The best time stamp for the opening of Fissure 24 I was able to find was 10 am the morning of May 27, 2018. Fissure 24 produced a very large flow and this may account for the dip in seismic tremor level.
Volcanic tremors are a sign of impending volcanic eruption as well as if an existing eruption is slowing down. Despite the importance of looking at tremors, there doesn't seem to be a standard for the general public to use when looking at a seismograph to resolve these basic questions.
